KOLKATA, 10 SEPTEMBER 2023:

If you are in business, you have to face adversity. You have to have mental strength and stamina to face a volatile and uncertain world.
Here is an interesting narrative of a person who started a business with a small sum of $ 3000 and built a conglomerate with assets worth $10 billion.

I will not disclose his identity at the moment but reveal his name once you have gone through his arduous journey from zero to hero.

Let us observe his footsteps and learn from his magnificent journey .

1. Completed his studies and worked in a paper mill .
2. Unsuccessful, joined family business
3. Disillusioned, managed to mobilize Rs.3 lacs and started a jute mill in his village. Successful.
4. Donned many hats – student leader, trader, manufacturer, banker and finally infrastructure developer.
5. Developed 28 new businesses.
6. Entered infrastructure space.
7. Consolidated and divested 28 business and concentrated to engage in infrastructure business.

  1. What is the lesson for us

    1. Be agile and show willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.

    2. Embrace the change

    3. Desist emotional attachment to assets.

    4. Come out of your comfort zone, otherwise you will stagnate.

  2. Who is this gentleman hero?

He is Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao or GMR.

This is not a Bollywood story.

    It is a real narrative.
